· Records: WO-S 5-0, PN-G 3-2

· Series: WO-S leads 13-6

· Radio: KOLE-AM (1340)

· Internet: tsrnsports.com

· Television: The Port Arthur News Friday Night Experience, 7:30 p.m., Saturday and Tuesday on Cable 7.

· Mustangs capsule: Whereas turnovers have hurt PN-G, 20th-year head coach Dan Hooks’ 5-0 ‘Stangs have gone to plus-9 in turnovers, gradually increasing the total each week. That’s because DE Paul Thomas, corners Jermaine Hope and Jeff Thibodeaux and nose Tyrone Brown pace the league’s top defense, allowing 134.8 yards and 6.2 points a game. WO-S enters 20-4A ranked last in offense, gaining 194.4 and 19 a game. Offense is led by superb tackle Donald Paul, and runners Markee Hudson and Paul Thomas.

· Indians capsule: Indians’ whole deal boils down to turnovers where PN-G enters 20-4A at minus-6. Coach Matt Burnett plans to go back to junior Kirk Hallmark at QB, while starting Trayce Boudoin at FB and Jeff Bergeron at TB. Tribe averages 241.4 on offense and allows 197.6 on defense. Boudoin, Cody Clark and Jeff LeBlanc have been reliable at LB while Jared Gary, Jeremy Davis, Michael Brignac and Justin Mercer need to take charge of the WO-S offensive line.

· Hooks says: “PN-G has an outstanding defense. Nobody has really shoved the ball down their throats this year. They have strong senior leaders that are getting the job done. They’ve struggled a little bit on offense and they’ve been hurt with turnovers which is something they didn’t have the last three years…. There’s no doubt we’ve struggled some on offense. It’s been great to stand there from the sidelines and watch our defense. Teams have been inside our 10 so many times that I can’t count them and they’ve come away empty-handed.”

· Burnett says: “WO-S plays tremendous defense. They play the field-position battle with you. Their offense isn’t going to beat itself. It’s old fashioned football and it’s working. Our gameplan is going to have to be a carbon copy to theirs… The most important thing at Vidor was we found a way to win. We didn’t move the ball as we wanted to. That’s to Vidor’s credit. Vidor’s come up with that magic over there before.”
