Head Coach Matt Burnett


Head Coach Matt Burnett has been at the helm of the Port Neches-Groves Indians football team for 14 seasons. The 2007 22-4A Coach of the Year, former All-State and All-Southland Conference defensive tackle, and 1999 Fox Sports coach of the year has posted a 90-58 record* during his head coaching tenure.  Coach Burnett's record since the 1996 season is 87-42 (.674) including 5 district championships and 5 playoff appearances.  Burnett  is the 18th head coach in team history and leads all former PN-G head coaches in number of wins. 

Coach Burnett and staff led the 1999 Indians to a 14-2 record and the 4A State Finals.
